What We Do

From observation to analysis

Our work runs in three stages. Each one is done in house, and each one is built so the stage after it can trust what it receives.

1. Field collection

Trained analysts record primary observations as events occur, using collection tools we build and maintain ourselves. Assignments are scheduled in advance and cover locations across the United States and Canada.

Timing matters as much as accuracy. Our tools timestamp every observation at the moment it is recorded, so a data set carries not only what happened but exactly when it was seen.

2. Structuring and quality control

Raw observations are validated against a defined schema, reconciled against independent reference sources where those exist, and stored append-only so no record is ever silently rewritten.

Quality is measured, not assumed. Every collector's records are scored for accuracy and timeliness on an ongoing basis, and that scoring feeds back into training and assignment.

3. Analysis and reporting

We build the statistical models and reporting layers that make a data set usable — validated out of sample, with the limits of the data stated plainly rather than smoothed over.

Sectors

Our current collection programs are concentrated in live sports, where events are fast, frequently reported inconsistently, and best captured in person. We work across several leagues in North America and Europe.

Engagements

Naiyon works with a small number of clients on long-running programs rather than one-off projects. Client relationships and the specifics of individual data sets are confidential. General enquiries are welcome at goutham@naiyon.com.
